The team at Fenster & Panel are working on a number of projects at the moment. Ranging from new single dwellings, multi unit developments, alterations and additions and rebuilding projects, we have a number of jobs on the go in Victoria and New Zealand. At various stages through the process, below is a brief description of each project and its location.
Christchurch, NZ – city rebuild
Since the devastating earthquakes of 2011, this beautiful city is slowly rebuilding physically and emotionally. Alternative, innovative and different building materials and technologies are being explored and used in this rebuilding exercise. SIPs have been effectively used in other earthquake prone areas around the world, with great success. Fenster & Panel is working with several builders, engineers and insurers to rebuild multi residential apartments, townhouses and homes through out the city.
South Caulfield, Victoria – town planning
A down sizing project presented itself with an opportunity to create an energy efficient development that everyone can be proud of. Our clients will demolish their existing dwelling and build four, two storey homes. Moving towards retirement, reducing their homes running costs and speed of construction are the major factors for our clients to choose SIPs for the walls and roofs of all buildings on the site.
Melbourne CBD – town planning
A seven storey commercial and residential structure will rise from this tight laneway in the CBD. A normal occurrence, except when it’s built from CLT and SIPs panels in less than half the time of similar size buildings, in site restricted laneways. Our client can not only build higher using our products, with reduced disruption during the construction phase, but can then boast of a building that will be carbon positive for years to come.
